Biography of Lolita Caballero

Her real name is María Dolores Hernández. She was born in Villanueva, Francisco Morazán, in 1916. She is a seamstress by trade. She is a union leader, she is one of the founders of the Asociación Obrera Femenina; she was a member of the Honduran Democratic Revolutionary Party and the Honduran Communist Party.

She participated in the organization of the Workers’ Coordinating Committee and the Union Unity Committee, as well as in the Sindicato de Trabajadores de Camiserías y Afines, the Federación Sindical del Centro (1957), the Federación Unitaria de Trabajadores de Honduras (1981). She retired from union activity in 1982.
