Biography of Esdras Amado López
He was born on April 15, 1964, in the city of Choluteca. He is a Honduran journalist, media entrepreneur, and politician. He is married to Milagros González Zelaya.
In 1982, he moved from Choluteca to Tegucigalpa to start his studies in journalism. He graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) and later pursued postgraduate studies in the United States, always staying connected to the field of communication.
In journalism, he worked extensively in various media outlets such as Radio América and also worked on the news program Abriendo Brecha, among others.
He is the owner of Cholusat Sur, a local television channel and radio station.
He served as a member of the National Congress for the department of Francisco Morazán during the 2014-2018 term under the Liberty and Refoundation Party (Libre) and played a strong role within that organization.
Subsequently, he founded the Nueva Ruta Party, where he is the presidential candidate for the 2021 general elections.
