Biography of Salvador Alejandro César Nasralla Salum
He is an engineer by profession, 68 years old, and his more than 40 years of experience in Honduran television have earned him the nickname «The Lord of Television.»
He ventured into politics in 2011, participating as a presidential candidate in the 2013 elections representing the Anti-Corruption Party (PAC). He later ran as a presidential candidate for the Opposition Alliance against the Dictatorship, which consisted of the Liberty and Refoundation Party (Libre) and the Innovation and Unity Party (PINU-SD), during the 2017 elections.
He was born in Tegucigalpa, one of the two cities that make up the capital of Honduras, on January 30, 1953. He is the son of a Honduran father and a Chilean mother.
He studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where he obtained a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering with a specialization in construction in 1976. He later earned a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Nasralla married Iroshka Elvir, a deputy of the PSH party, in 2016, and they have a daughter together.
On November 12, 2019, Salvador Nasralla submitted the requirements to register his new political party, the Salvador de Honduras Party (PSH), to the National Electoral Council (CNE). The party officially came into existence on September 7, 2020, and now he has formed an alliance with PINU-SD, appearing as the presidential candidate number eight in the November 2021 electoral process.
