Tomorrow will come, free. Democracy will come,
not by foreign mandate, nor by divine grace;
it will come because pain will unite us all
to sweep away miseries, oppressors, and mire.
Freedom will come. Over the inert past,
we will see life defeating death.
We will have joy, we will have enthusiasm,
fruitful activity will replace stagnation,
and in the sleepless expanse of all its paths,
your peaks and pines will rise majestically.
Honduran pine forests, ancestral pine forests,
lofty, eminent, serene, immortal,
the flag of victory against tyrannies,
golden days will come, new days will come.
