Song – La Valona (Folkloric)

A flower is killing me
It’s a terrible burden
And so close I see it
Yet unable to pick it.
I ask my friends
Those who know about love,
What advice would they give me
To cut that flower.
My friends advise me,
Trying to console me,
To let time pass
That I will eventually cut that flower.
Here I bid farewell
To lemon blossoms,
I surrender my soul to God
And my heart to my beloved.
