Municipality of Campamento
Campamento is a municipality in the Olancho Department of Honduras.
Location
The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Concordia, to the south by the municipality of Teupasenti, to the east by the municipality of Juticalpa, and to the west by the municipality of Guaimaca.
Historical Facts
It was founded in 1835 and was designated as a municipality in 1857. In the Territorial Political Division of 1889, it appeared as Santa Ana (Campamento) and was part of the Juticalpa District.
