Santa Rita is a municipality in the department of Copán in Honduras.

It was founded in 1700 as the Cashapa Village and was granted Municipality status in 1875. On March 7, 1947, it was given the title of Villa. The villages of Buena Vista, Pueblo Viejo, Casitas, and Descombros were annexed to Santa Rita on October 20, 1903, previously belonging to Cabañas.

The municipality borders El Paraíso and Copán Ruinas to the north, Cabañas and La Unión to the south, Concepción and San Agustín to the east, and Cabañas and Copán Ruinas to the west.

Its municipal seat is located in a very rugged terrain, surrounded by hills, at the angle formed by the Copán River and the confluence of the Gila River and the Quebrada Grande.
