Municipality of Vallecillo
It is a municipality in the department of Francisco Morazán, in the Republic of Honduras.
It is one of the recently created municipalities in the department of Francisco Morazán. It was created during the presidency of José Simón Azcona. Before receiving the municipal status, it was a village of Cedros.

Origin of its name: its name is derived from the diminutive form of the geographical feature of the valley.

Small valley located in the northwest corner of Francisco Morazán, bordering the department of Comayagua.
