Rosy Metropolitan Zoo Walther
Located in El Picacho park, with an extraordinary view of the city of Tegucigalpa and among a forest of oaks and pines, the metropolitan zoo offers an option to meet some of the native animals of our Honduras.
There is a jaguar, the largest feline in America that is native to Honduras, as well as a very complete collection of white-tailed deer and spider monkeys. With a total of 310 animals, among which we can count 20 different species of mammals, 23 birds, and 7 reptiles.
The total area of the zoo is about 22 blocks. The zoo is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. every day.
