Biography of Gustavo Acosta Mejia

Gustavo Acosta Mejía, a lawyer and journalist who has since passed away, was a student at the Central Institute in 1940. From the first day that Diario Matutino went on the air that same year, he worked on that news program.
He is considered the dean of editorial commentary on radio. He also founded the «Informativo del Medio Día,» which is still on the air on HRN.
In 1989, he was awarded the national journalism prize «Alvaro Contreras» by the College of Journalists of Honduras. With an extensive curriculum in his profession as a lawyer, he worked as a correspondent for international agencies and magazines.
