Municipality of Arenal

The municipality of Arenal is located in the department of Yoro in Honduras.

Location

The municipality borders the municipality of Olanchito to the north, Mangulile to the south, Olanchito to the east, and Jocón to the west.

Historical Facts

It was founded in 1848, but in 1855 it was established as a village and annexed to Olanchito. In 1856, it was officially established as a municipality.
Teguajal, a village in Arenal, is rich in raw materials such as players who have emerged to play in our country’s national league, and economic development is evident in our village, which hosts a grand Christmas fair from December 20 to January 6.
