Municipality of Cane
The municipality of Cane belongs to the Department of La Paz.
Founded in 1801, it was designated as a municipality in 1882, according to the statistical yearbook by Antonio Vallejo in 1889, who describes it as follows: «this small town is located in the Comayagua Valley, about a league away from the city of La Paz.»
It became part of the department of La Paz when it was created in 1869.
