Municipality of Concepcion Copan
Concepción is a municipality in the department of Copán in Honduras.
In the political division of 1889, it appeared as a village of Santa Rosa, named Las Piedras. In 1907, it became part of the municipality of Dulce Nombre, and in 1918, it was granted municipality status.
Location
The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipalities of San Jerónimo and Dolores, to the south by the municipality of Santa Rosa de Copán, to the east by the municipality of Dulce Nombre, and to the west by the municipalities of San Agustín and Santa Rita.
