Municipality of El Negrito
The municipality of El Negrito is located in the department of Yoro in Honduras.
Location
The municipality borders the municipality of Tela to the north, Santa Rita and Victoria to the south, Morazán to the east, and El Progreso to the west.
Historical Facts
It is believed to have been founded in 1843, although there are no existing documents to confirm this. In 1893, it was one of the districts that formed the Department of Cortés. In 1894, it separated from Cortés and became part of Yoro again.
