Municipality of Jocón
Jocón is a municipality in the Department of Yoro in Honduras.
Location
The municipality borders the municipality of Olanchito to the north, the municipality of Yoro to the south, the municipalities of Arenal and Mangulile to the east, and the municipality of Yoro to the west.
Historical Data
In the first population count in 1791, it was one of the towns that formed the curate of Yoro. In the Territorial Political Division of 1889, it was a municipality within the District of Yoro. Initially, it was located in a place called Pueblo Viejo.
