Municipality of Juan Francisco Bulnes
It is a municipality in the department of Gracias a Dios, in the Republic of Honduras.
It is a Misquito settlement located in proximity to the Garifuna area. It was named in honor of the Garifuna soldier Juan Francisco Bulnes, from the Morazanista army. It was granted the municipal status on August 20, 1996, during the presidency of Dr. Carlos Roberto Reina.

Location
Located in the northwest corner of the department, very close to the Tinto or Negro River and the Río Plátano mountain range.
