Municipality of San Antonio Intibuca
The municipality of San Antonio belongs to the Intibucá Department.
The town of San Antonio was part of a group of estates around the curacy of Camasca, as documented in the statistical yearbook by Antonio Vallejo. It was founded in the year 1742. It was granted municipality status in 1823. With the creation of the Intibucá department, San Antonio came under its jurisdiction.
