Municipality of San Isidro

The municipality of San Isidro belongs to the Department of Intibuca.

It is one of the most recent municipalities in the Intibucá department. In 1896, according to land title documents, it appeared as a village within the municipality of Jesús de Otoro. It was granted municipality status during the provisional government of Vicente Tosta, after the end of the civil war in 1924.
