Municipality of San Nicolás
San Nicolás is a municipality in the department of Copán in Honduras.
It is believed to have been founded in 1835. In the 1887 Census, it was listed as a Municipality in the circle of Trinidad.
Location
The municipality borders Nueva Arcadia to the north, Trinidad de Copán to the south, Protección to the east, and La Jigua to the west.
It is located in the northern part of the department, and its municipal seat is situated along the route of the western highway.
