Municipality of Santa Lucia Intibuca

The municipality of Santa Lucía belongs to the Intibucá Department.

In Antonio Vallejo’s statistical yearbook, it appears as a town in the department of Intibucá, founded in 1832. It was designated as a municipality in 1844. When the Intibucá Department was created in 1883, it was one of the municipalities in the district of Camasca.
