Municipality of Silca
Silca is a municipality in the department of Olancho in Honduras.
The exact time of its foundation is unknown, but it was already in existence in 1684. In the population census of 1791, it became the head of a curate, and it was designated as a municipality in 1878.
Location
The municipality borders Manto to the north, Juticalpa to the south, and both mentioned municipalities to the east. It also borders Salamá to the west. Its head is located on the left bank of the Telica River.
