Municipality of Yorito
Yorito is a municipality in the Department of Yoro in Honduras.
Location
The municipality borders the municipality of Yoro to the north, the municipality of Sulaco to the south, the municipalities of Yoro and Marale to the east, and the municipality of Victoria to the west.
Historical Data
Based on the arrival of the missionary Manuel de Jesús Subirana to these regions, it can be said that this town already existed in 1735. In the first population count in 1791, it was a town in the curate of Sulaco, and in the Territorial Political Division of 1889, it was a municipality in the District of Yoro.
