Cities that will provide Mobile Consular Service for Hondurans?
At a press conference at the Honduran Embassy in Washington, USA, the Vice Foreign Minister of Honduras Antonio García announced the opening of 8 Mobile Consulates in various cities of the United States of America to serve Honduran compatriots starting November 16 of this year.
Together with the director of Immigration, Allan Alvarenga; Óscar Rivera, RNP commissioner; Javier Bu, Honduran ambassador and, via zoom, Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reina, the Honduran authorities announced a new platform to replace the old and obsolete appointment system.
«Now it is more individualized, aimed at each person who carries out the procedure, who will be able to pay and, as such, arrive at the consulates on the precise date so that their documents or consular procedures can be extended,» reported Foreign Minister Enrique Reina.
For his part, the director of the National Migration Institute, Allan Alvarenga, assured that with the consulates they hope to provide better service to compatriots in the region.
«In eight places we will have mobile booths, there are eight places where we are going to bring the President’s Government closer to our fellow Hondurans who are in the American Union, and we are going to provide them with the best services, including passports, enrollment and the others. 27 consular services provided by each consulate,» said Alvarenga.

New Consular Appointment platform
The government’s new consular affairs platform was launched this Tuesday along with the announcement of mobile consulates.
You must enter it to schedule your appointment and make the requests you need.
For this you only have to enter this link https://asuntosconsulares.inm.gob.hn/ and then register if you are Honduran or foreign.
Then the platform will ask you for your personal information (name, identity number, date of birth, address and email).
You have to configure your account by changing the password and finally you only have to log in to make your request, if it is for the National Identification Document (DNI) or passport.
The platform will tell you what documentation you need to carry out the process and how much the cost will be, as well as the corresponding payment.
