Garlic Shrimp with Apple Recipe

- 1 Glass bowl
- 1 medium saucepan or casserole
- 1 Large casserole with lid
- 2 knives

Ingredients
- 1 pound of pre-cooked shrimp
- 2 apples
- 1/3 cup coconut milk
- 12 cloves garlic
- 2 green plantains
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 tablespoon shrimp or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Parsley, preferably fresh
- Lemon
- Olive oil to fry the shrimp
- Vegetable oil to fry the plantains
Preparation
Shrimp marinade
- First we are going to stir the following ingredients: bouillon, pepper, oregano, ginger, cumin and salt.
- In the glass bowl place the shrimp and add the spices and stir well with a ladle, then add the coconut milk.
- Marinate in a cool place or in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Tip: The longer you let them marinate the better the flavor will be.
Frying the shrimp
- Peel and chop or crush the garlic.
- Chop the onion into julienne strips.
- Put the pan over medium high heat with the olive oil.
- First add the onion and sauté for 1 minute.
- Then add the garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp without the marinade, stir and sauté for 1 minute.
- Cover the pan and lower the heat to low for 3 minutes to allow the flavors to integrate.
- Tip: If the shrimp is not pre-cooked, leave 2 more minutes.
- Then add the marinade, cover and leave for 3 more minutes.
- 1 minute before removing from the heat, add the parsley.
- Remove from heat and ready.
Frying the plantains
- Heat a medium saucepan or pot with vegetable oil over high heat and add the plantain slices to fry them.
- Once the shrimp are marinated, peel and slice the plantains in the shape of your preference.
- Tip: You can add a little salt to the plantains before frying.
- When they are to your liking, remove them from the pan and let them drain.
Preparing the shrimp with the apples
- Peel and cut the apples in julienne or squares according to your preference.
- Arrange the shrimp on a plate and add the banana slices with the apple pieces.
- Add a few drops of lemon juice.
- Note: This last step is important because it will give a unique flavor to the dish.
