Municipality of Magdalena

The municipality of Magdalena belongs to the Intibucá Department.

In the current municipality of Magdalena, there was a hacienda with this name dating back to 1715. According to the statistical yearbook by Antonio Vallejo, Magdalena has been a municipality since 1822, affiliated with the parish of Camasca. With the creation of the Intibucá department, it became part of it.
