April 27 – International Tapir Day
April 27th was designated as the International Tapir Day, a mammal that inhabits our Honduran forests, and is native to all of Central America, South America, and Southeast Asia.

To raise awareness about the danger this species faces, a worldwide organization called World Tapir Day has been formed.
