February 14 – Day of Love and Friendship
In Honduras, as in other parts of the world, Love and Friendship Day is celebrated. It is common to see street vendors with roses, balloons, and plush toys offering love and friendship at a good price for the customer’s girlfriend or friend.
In Honduras, the tradition is maintained that it is the man who courts and offers gifts to his girlfriend, as well as dates to special places to show affection and love for the female partner.
