Municipality of Arizona

Arizona is a municipality in the department of Atlántida.

The municipality of Arizona underwent successive changes until 1951, from a hamlet to a village. Its residents requested the creation of the municipality on February 14, 1990, under the administration of Rafael Leonardo Callejas.

Location

It is located in the coastal plain of the Caribbean, in the basin of the Leán River, and is crossed by the main road that goes from Tela to La Ceiba.
