Municipality of San Francisco de Opalaca
The municipality of San Francisco de Opalaca belongs to the Intibucá Department.
It is the most recently created municipality in the department of Intibucá. It was established as such on July 29, 1994, during the presidency of Rafael Leonardo Callejas. Prior to this date, it was a village within the municipality of Yamaranguila.
