Municipality of Texiguat
It is a municipality in the Department of El Paraíso, in the Republic of Honduras.
It was founded by the descendants of the ancient Cholula or Chorotega people. In 1702, it was granted the title of municipality with the name San Antonio de Texíguat. In the territorial political division of 1825, it was part of the Tegucigalpa district. When the department of El Paraíso was created in 1869, it was one of the governing circles that formed the department.
On December 18, 1878, the Texíguat circle was annexed to Tegucigalpa, but on October 28, 1886, it was reincorporated into El Paraíso.

Located in a hollow, surrounded by hills and bordered by rivers.
Limits
- North: municipalities of Yauyupe and San Lucas;
- South: municipality of Liure;
- East: municipality of Vado Ancho;
- West: municipalities of Soledad and Nueva Armenia (Francisco Morazán).
Hydrography: Rivers Arriba, San Lorenzo, San Sebastián, and Texíguat.
